Not sure if this is a Fisher plow typical issue, or something else..but I havn't noticed any others doing this. I have a new [Jan 2010] 7 1/2 extreme V on a 2002 chevy shortbox. Love the plow, always have had Fisher for over 30 years. it leaves a "washboard" effect in the plowed area. Does not do it on paved surfaces. Our driveway is 1500 feet long, stone..except near the house where it is paved. any suggestions??

There are "shoes" that go on the bottom of the plow so it stays up out of the stones. You will have to take them off to plow on pavement though.

the stone part of the road has a good base of packed snow, 4 - 6 inches. we get alot of snow here, usually 200 inches per season. rarely do we get a thaw, so the snow pack stays from October to march usually. Some friends can drop their plow in my road and smooth out the ripples....... Shoes may help, will consider them.............

Maybe that the springs are getting weak then. Thats the one reasons I can think of that would cause that.

Fisher Minute Mount 2 plow clicks @ solenoid only no operation?

First make sure you have a good cable feeding the solenoid battery terminal check with a test light if ok, turn the plow switch on and test both sides of the solenoid if there's battery voltage there check at the plow lift motor is it plugged in, if so check at the plow lift motor battery terminal and if it lights your light repair the motor....these motors are know for seizing or getting stuck if you take the cap off you can probably fix it, put a punch mark on the cap, barrel and end frame to ensure alignment when reassembled. I hope this helps. Take Care.

I have a fisher minute mount 2 plow for some reason it only goes to the right now , not up or left , no matter what button I press on the control it goes right .

Start by plugging everything in and pop the cover off the control part on the plow and check for magnetism on all 3 solenoids when you hit the various buttons on your plow controller. The pull should be very strong and noticable...a weak magnetic pull is likely just residual magnetism on your screwdriver. In my case, the S3 solenoid wasn't firing and that causes exactly what you're describing.

If your S3 isn't firing you can test the wiring by moving the S3 hot wire to the S2 solenoid. If your wiring is good the plow will misbehave in an entirely different way. Also get out your ohm meter and test the S3, if its good you should get 7 ohms on it.

You need to use the guide from Fisher and be methodical about it. Start at the plow and work your way backwrds towards the truck.

I have a fisher minuteman plow it will go up, left and right but will not go down what is wrong with my plow

If you have a Minit Mount two it's probably the valve sticking. It's electronically controlled so if it clicks, then the solenoid is working and the shuttle in the valve is stuck. Can be disassembled and cleaned. New ones are best but pricey.

I can hear my fisher plow motor but the plow will not lift or angle

There solinoids on pump. Check wiring and grounds. Make sure all small wires are intact and in good condition. But most likely there's a loose corroded or green wire causing issue

According to snow plow review sites, there have been no issues with that size engine and an 8 foot plow blade.

I have a Fisher 8' plow. The up and down have been extremely slow. On top of the motor I noticed a screw, possible bleeder? I loosened this and tried the controls .worked perfectly, but when I tightened it...

Im an automechanic by trade, and know nothing about plows or tractors, although some knowlege might apply to both. I suspect that screw adjusts the speed of its relitive lever, there are probably more for each lever. If it works, go for it. I see no problems arising, but again I know little about tractors or plows, but lots about mechanicals and how stuff works. Put the screw where you want it, and ride on!

Lights on a fisher xtreme plow wont work

I'm guessing that you have already checked to make sure there is power going to the plow lights. If not use a test light and make sure. The most likely problem is the grounds from the plow lights themselves to the frame. Take the lights apart and check and/or replace the grounds, wires inside the case take a lot of vibration and that can cause them to fail.Don't forget to check the bulbs to be sure they're good too. Hope this helps.
