When i turn the key to start the car,all the elec. cuts off.at the same time it makes as a clicking noise.

year, make, model, engine size?

If it is a rapid repeating clicking noise when the key is in the crank position than it is almost always the battery. If it is a single click every time you try to start it is almost always a bad starter.

Seems to be a broken solenoid relay which is mounted to the starter motor (should engage the starter)
- replace the assembly

clean battery posts and cable ends and make sure to tighten securely when done

Double check your battery connections. If the battery is new and the starter makes a series of clicking noises when the key is held in the start position than you are not getting a good power supply to the starter or there is not a sufficient ground.

the clicking noise is usually 2 things, step on try jump starting car and if starts have battery tested as it is probably bad (free testing at most chain auto stores), the other usual problem is that the starter has gone bad, when whoever tried turning off car while driving might have put into start mode and burnt out the starter when it engaged at high speed.

sounds like you are losing ground,make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight

definatley an elec issue with those cars or a neutrl safety switch

You have a cracked head,or a blown head gasket,due to over heating,or the gasket under the head has rotted out.

Sounds like an electrical mess up. Im not too familiar with ford and newer vehicles. It could be the starter getting jambed. The make a grinding/clicking noise..Something like a selenoid? Just ideas..

needs a starter- or cable- if you had to tap on it for it to work its junk-
