You need a test light or volt meter to find out what it is. You have 12volts {or light on test light} when you touch the blue wire and moving the switch in the up posiion, And 12 volts on the brown wire when you push the switch down position.

Vans power window wiring not working

Usually a sign of a problem with the switch or the motor in that door.
I would check for power and ground at the switch then at the motor.
The circuits are reversed for up and down.

Drivers window won't go up

You must pull the door panel, remove all screws look hard some are hidden under plastic clips sometimes. Take a door panel tool, about $5.00 at a parts store, and work it around the panel to find the plastic studs that hold the panel on. Once the panel is off first use a multi meter to make sure you are getting power to the switch, next remove the dust shield and check for power to the window motor. I am assuming that all of the other windows work, if not check the fuse first.

If you are not getting power to the switch you have a short some where in front of the switch. If you get power at the switch but not to the window motor, you need a new switch. If you get power to the window motor and it won't work you need a new window motor.

Drivers side power window wont work

I'm not sure if I had the same problem, the window was still working but made a scraping clicking noise. This is how I fixed my van window.

I took the door panel off and did not see any physical damge. But if I ran my hand along the regulator track, I would feel the cable had started to fray and come apart. The clicking was the cable within the spool that winds up as you use the window rubbing against the plastic. My van is a 2000 and I was able to find a .pdf of the Dealer repair manual online, only one page talks about the regulators and shows for a manual setup. But it made the mounting screw locations easier to find. Go to you-tube and type in your car make and year with something like, "how to replace a window regulator". I was lucky enough to find one for my van. In my case, the space you are working with is extremely tight, but I was able to get it all back together and it works great. I just fixed it yesterday, BTW, just wanted to pass on the good fortune.

Drivers window stops working

I have had the same issues with both power windows. The issue is the window gets stuck in the up position usually because of holding the up button too long. In all cases I have taken the door panel off loosened the window motor screws which takes the pressure off the internal gear drive of the motor, put it all back together and it works until someone holds the button too long again. I have done this 4 times and each time it fixed the problem. I guarantee the dealers know of this problem and I suspect that they fix it the same way and tell you that they changed the drive motor.
