Hooking up a scan tool that can view sensor data is the preferred method of diagnosting . Looking at fuel trim's , short & long term trim's . are the O2 sensors switch normally , what is Mass air flow sensor doing ? Stall's when hot ,cold or doesn't matter ? Your only have a P0171 , bank 1 lean condition .
Mine did the same thing, it turned out to be a vaccuum leak. $170 fixed it. I may have caused it by trying to use my car as a hovercraft to get out of a trapped position. Stomping it too hard in an emergency.
