I would first suggest taking it to someone who works on transmissions as it requires removing the filter pan on the bottom of the transmission. If you have had the car since new and never changed the fluid or don't know the last time it was serviced the best advice I can give you is to take it to a reputable mechanic or transmission repair shop and have them service the transmission. When you only change the fluid that comes out of the pan and filter you are only changing about 30% to 40% of the fluid the rest is in the torque converter which needs to be drained as well. Then there is the problem of disposing of the fluid if you do it yourself. It can be difficult to find someone to take the oil. If you decide to do it yourself it will also require a jack to lift the car, jack stands to hold the car up. NEVER EVER work under a car held up by the jack alone. This is the biggest reason I suggest letting someone else do this for you.
