Question about 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage

1995 Mitsubishi Mirage Asti In the morning the check engine light was flickering for 1 or two minutes only.Evening time on engine start again light flickering and after stop to a traffic light light stays on .I stopped the engine 5 min . and afterwards no more warning light. What should I do?Do I need to check the engine to the service or no ?

They should be able to do that. Give them the yr , make, model, enginesize and you mention the rotor cams. I've never heard that term except when speaking of point type ignitions.. Is this a point type? Do not be concerned about pulling the old one unless you need the car. Then, take the car to them and you can do your comparisons ther at the store, Good Luck What is your concern about pulling it out? -Ned

1995 mitsubishi mirage engine wobbles and dies after heating up.

It could be that the valves need adjusting or redone. When they heat up it swells the rubber and the metal. If you have a bent valve it should do it all the time or it could be one of the valve springs is going. Either way it sounds like it is something in the valve or the valve seats or the springs.

My 1995 mitsubishi mirage will start and run about 2 or 3 min, then won't start again for about 10 to 15 min and again run 2 3 minutes then shut off. It's like someone turns the key off. Replaced the fuel...

check the relays for the computer, possibly the computer

How to reset ecu unit for a 1990 mitsubishi mirage

I dont know about the mirage but 9 out of 10 cars all you have to do is unplug your battery for at least 5-15 minutes and then re plug in and start car. your check engine light/ecu should be reset now. Good Luck and God Bless. Hope this helps. Take care. 16

ENGINE Problem

I have a 1999 Mirage 1.5 - with 225thou miles on it - my light stay's on too- I was told it was an O2 senser- but I noticed that the spark plugs come loose alot. When I tighten them and have my light reset it stays off till I need to adjsut them again-?
