My 2001 has warning signals in the dash board where there is a symbol of the four wheels of the car. In this symbol, the lights of the front two wheels are blinking, but not the lights of the two rear wheels. What does that mean? THank you.

his means your traction control is switched off. Somewhere on the dash or near the gear selector is a button with a similar symbol that has probably been pressed by accident. Press the button to turn traction control back on
On small shift behinde gear lever there is 3 settings. H4 = 4 wheel drive high range, L4 = 4 wheel drive low range, h2 = 2 wheel drive high range. as soon as jou engage to 4 wheel drive a green light on the dash board will appear to indicate that the car is in 4 wheel drive. if not check fuse - check air pipes at front wheels. sounds like an electrical nightmare! start by removing the cluster, now try signals are they working if yes then bad cluster, also i had a few caravans that just had bad connections i removed the plugs and reconnected them and it worked fine, also with the light coming on with your foot on the brake may be a bad or in correctly installed bulb, check all brakeand signal bulbs, try all of this , good luck, hope this is helpful.
i had a problem with the four by four light coming on all the time. I would shut the vehicle off and the warning went away. Recently I had the bearings and tie rods changed on the two front wheels, and now the four by four light does not come on anymore. Not sure if they are related, but it seems to have fixed the warning light. You might want to get your alignment checked and if it keeps going out, then it may be loose tie rods. Hope this helps.
it is usually the sensor or the control button itself on the dash if you have an owners manual check in there for a fuse or a relay if no manual look under the dash on drivers side for the fuse box and under the hood for the relay box
