I have have an 2002 camry xle just got a new battery 4 months ago and last night it wouldnt start after i got gas, i thought i needed a jump but that didnt work, my lights and dash board was fine (no light were dimmed) so i called a friend and he said it might be the starter, he told me to tap the starter with a hammer gently and it should kick right on, i didnt know were the starter was actually located so i just tapped every thing under the hood and it started right up, today i had no problems but when i got back in the house i decided to see if it will start back up again and it didnt, when i turn the ign ition i only hear 1 click and nothing else and thats what i heard the first time it didnt start up last night. please help thank you

Replace the starter. It's going out.

Hello, I have a 2003 navigator 5.4, 2 days ago warning light came on said check charging system (battery is only 6 months old), then last night went to store and when I came out truck wouldn't

your battery is so dead and or shorted it won't allow enough current to keep the truck running it could be a wire ground or positive not allowing enough current take the battery back to the place of purchase and have it tested it should be under warranty.I wouldn't try to start it by jumping it anymore try a fresh hot battery I think it will fix it

My 1996 jeep grand cherokee has started needing a jump to get started about once a week.. had the alternator and battery tested, both are good. 2 nights ago it wouldnt start, so I got a jump and drove it...

I would have a load test done on the battery as there is a dead cell evident from the number of jump starts you need. Have an auto electrician test the alternator for charge rate and out put. check drive belt condition and tension.

Dim dashboard lights and problem starting

Could be a loose or dirty battery connection, poor battery, or alternator. Check all the cables and connections to your starter. Clean your battery posts. Have your alternator and battery checked. It sounds like you are either running off just the battery or just the alternator. One of them is not right.

2002 Toyota Sienna XLE; intermittent problems starting. New battery and new starter x 2 in the past month. There is no specific time that the van doesn't start - it just doesn't and then it may start...

Make sure battery connections are tight. Is the starter new or rebuilt? Some rebuilts are defective right out of the box. check connections @ starter
