You would need to know if the blower motor is running or not. If it is and no air is coming out the vents, could be a blocked cabin air filter or a problem with one of the blend doors under the dash. The blend doors direct air flow thru the heater core and ac evaporator as well as the vents.
{: ) The a/c air filter is located below the glovebox. Looking from beneath, you will find the front blower motor, next to left is the blower resistor, and then next to its left you'll find a long rectangular cover screwed at both ends. Remove the screws then the cover. Pull and slide the air filter out of the HVAC slot and note the original positioning, so you wont be lost when you insert the new air filter.
I'm not sure but i think 03 and later yukons dont have them, I have an 05 yukon and pulled the cover off only to find solid plasic and nothing else to remove, certainly no clips to undue to remove anything. I looked and looked for about an hour. After some research on the net, it looks like there isn't one. strange they sell the part for my year. Either that or im looking in the wrong place.
Behind the center console to the left behind the glove box with two screws holding a cover on it. Will have to remove glove box and a posiable air duct and bracket etc.
you don have to do much to that gmc as long the coil is good, just replace all 8 spark plugs, air filter and basic oil and filter change; use good brands of oil, such as castro, mobile, shells ect. if your the original owner and have high miles and never have replace thermostat, I would go ahead and have it done, I would not wait until it fail and over heat on you. if you have done lot of pulling with your vehicle and have 75-100k mile, have your transmission flush with new filter, it will give the tanny life last a bit longer.
Check underneath your dash passenger side, you might have a little slot with 2 either 7 mm or 5.5 mm screws holding a cover, behind that you may have a cabin filter which often times clogs up... hope it helps...
