My 2006 F-350 Dually Powerstroke has a speedometer problem. When hot, the speedometer stops working. I've taken the problem to the dealership 6 times for repairs and it still does not work when the truck is hot. They've changed the instrument cluster, speed sensor and the wiper motor as possible repairs. I've noticed that under the truck the dealership repairmen spliced two wires to from the rear to the engine compartment. I believe the speed sensor is still bad.

I had the same issue with my 2002 F250 7.3 L. The overdrive switch was shorting the circuit due to exposed wires in the steering colum. I replaced the switch and resolved the problem.

Hello Peter, I have a problem with my 10months new vehicle, it started giving aircon problems before 20'000km within 6 months.

It is unclear whether or not your dealership has actually performed work upon the car during your 3 trips to them. The following link may guide you to lemon laws for your particular state. (If you are looking for a Peter having discussed this issue with him, you won't find him in this general posting. Rather, you would have better luck going back to any reply from him in your email and looking at the followup, comment links.)

I've got a 2005 F250 6 Liter Powerstroke turbo diesel that has been starting rough and takes a minute to smooth out. I've been losing power and yesterday had to crank and crank to get it started,...

it is a fuel delivery problem
possible air in the system that needs bleeding out
check for air leaks in the fuel supply system , loose filters , hose connections , blocked vent for the tank (evap )
best if you get it to an accredited diesel pump specialist shop as they would have more experience that a service center

1992 ford f150 speedometer quit working and ABS light is on, also odometer is not working

where the speedometer cable goes into the transmission under the car, when removed from the trans there is a small gear that gets worn out over time.. that little gear or the entire speedometer cable needs to be replaced. An easy and inexpensive fix. I believe the ABS light is on because the computer needs the speed of the car to make its calculations for braking. As long as the speedometer is not working, it cannot do that. So after the speedometer cable issue is fixed, that issue should be fixed as well.

I have a 99 f350 powerstroke and the speedometer is staying on 40

Have your alternator checked. I had a Lincoln that had the odometer and speedometer recording at a stop. Turns out it was stray voltage from alternator traveling through my chassis.
