Brake lights don't work but all other lights do. It's a 1990 Chevy 1500 short wheel base and I have replaced both circuit boards all bulbs brake switch and fuses are good. Checked and replaced ground

Do you know what electrical testing is and how to do it ? apparently not ! Do you know what a wiring diagram is and how to read one ? Is there B+ voltage going into the brake light switch ? Test this first with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . If there is , with the brake pedal pressed ,is there B+ voltage coming out of the switch ? Find a diagram of the wiring harness connector locations look at every connector the brake light wires are in > Check voltage at each connector till voltage disapears . find the open wire , high resistance , what ever is cause B+ voltage not to be there . Watch videos on youtube for voltage drop testing . Mastering Voltage Drop Testing with Pete Meier and Jerry Truglia How to read a wiring diagram . Buy a repair manual . Sorry dude , but if you want to fix car's , learn how .

Truck won't shut off until I unplug my tent trailer? Just pick up new trailer and had a 7 pin connector added to my truck along with a brake controller

It sounds like someone messed up to me! Apparently, the brake controller got wired into an ignition circuit that it should not have gotten wired to. When accessories are added to a vehicle, it is extremely important that the vehicle wiring diagrams are used so that you know EXACTLY what you are tying into. Some of the Chevy trucks that are sold with trailer towing packages already have the wiring for brake controllers under the dash. This makes installation easy and is already tied into the correct things.

Rear lights wont go on but brake lights work

Fuse box is a good place to start, and check under hood for power distribution box with more fuses.

4pin blue modular plug under dash for brake controller to plug in

You should be able to access the Prodigy Instructions ie Wiring Diagram At google. Maybe an install video on You Tube. Make sure everything you do is properly fused. Any thing as far as color codes will need to be Prodigy specific. Prodigy may have a 1-800 Tech line. They should be able to E-mail you a PDF file.
