I searched Car-part.com for an FX. There was no FX35 listed, but there was an EX35. In any event, the Bose amplifier is available used (about 25 of them). Check Car-part.com and fill in the search fields. Then select Radio/CD. Then select the system part. It will list the phone numbers for the salvage yards that have them for sale with the prices. I hope that helps.

My radio works but speakers don't what could be wrong

The fuse is blown. To check to see if this is what the issue is,look for your cars fuse box.It is most of the time located under the dash and replace the fuses for your cars audio system.

Radio has power but no sound

speakers may be disconnected behind the radio pull it out and look at the back of the radio also check for broken wires on the connector on the outside of the radio and the inside from the electrical outlet on the radio it's also possible that you blew the fuse for the power amp part of the radio you must look at your owners manual for the fuse diagram and power distribution box if you don't have it go to search 2000 ford mustang owners manual to download it free from ford and you'll have what you need also check in the trunk for a broken/disconnected power amp plug if you had a lot of stuff shoved in there that might have become disconnected or broken did it always work and then happen or has it been out since you bought the car?

My CD & radio just stopped working. The screen still displays everthing and the CD track changes just no sound.

This is usually an internal failure with the head unit (the radio box in the dash) usually getting a new head unit will solve the issue, however it could be as simple as a broken or disconnected connector. Try getting to the back of your radio and inspect the connectors. Also try jiggling the wires to see if its a loose/sloppy connection. Either way, you're going to have to pull apart the dash. In some rare cases, the vehicle will have an external amplifier, if this amp popped a fuse or had some internal fault, that would cause the radio to show everything, but have no sound. Check you fuses first, especially anything related to "Audio", "Instrument", "Dash", or "Amp"

Just gota new radio installed in my car & the reception isn't that good, where should I go first for answers?

you can try getting a better antenna other than that check the connection on the back of the radio for the antenna, the new radios do not have an adjustable antenna trim like the old ones used to.

How can i replace 1991 maxima radio system?

The original radio is a BOSE system and it has a buit in amp. So if you replaced the deck you need to replace the speakers all so. Don't cut the wires to hook-up the deck buy an addapter KIT. It's not just the stereo that runs though that harness the factory alarm does all so and that will cause you problems. Anyway back to the stereo you need to add an amplifier and problem sovled.

Radio works, no sound though

some of these cars have infinity sound systems if this is the case the factory amplifier probably went bad and a new radio and an amp rewire will fix the issue. you might want to check the trunk too soetimes people cram all kinds of things in the trunk and you might have broken a speaker terminal on the rear deck and it is touching metal and shorting out the radio causing the sound prcesssor to turn off. hope this helps.

Locked radio

You will need to contact your local dealer with the Vin number of your truck & possibly the make of your radio. When a radio locks the dealer has the code to unlock the radio, just give them a call & you should have your radio working in no time.

Radio won't work.. no power fuses in engine compartment and under dash are good

Remove the radio & check for power & ground at the connector - if power & ground are present, the radio is broken.
