I had a 2001 Taurus about 7 years ago and I believe the switch was in the trunk to the right behind the matting.

1997 ford escort 55 van location of fuel shut off switch

Hi Peter:The fuel pump shut-off switch stops the fuel pump when the vehicle has been involved in a collision or major jolt. If the vehicle does not start, it is possible that the fuel pump shut-off switch needs to be reset.
If you see or smell fuel, do not reset the switch or try to start your vehicle. Have all passengers get out of the vehicle and call the local fire department or a towing service. This and other details could be find in the Ford Escort Owners Manual...

RESETTING THE FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH
After a collision, if the engine cranks but does not start, the fuel pump shut-off switch may have been activated. The shut-off switch is a device intended to stop the electric fuel pump when your vehicle has been involved in a substantial jolt.

If your vehicle is a sedan, the fuel pump shut-off switch is located on the right side of the trunk behind the trunk liner.

How can i reset my maintenance reminder on my 2004 ford taurus

I could not find any information on your vehicle but you can try this. Turn your key on without starting and pump the fuel pedal three times then shut off and turn back on back off. See if that clears it.

Just replaced fuel pump, now it won't start, does that mean I have to replace sencors too. The fuel pump will not click on.

You should try the Fuel Shut off Switch or AKA-(INERCIA Switch)

The inertia fuel shutoff switch is located in the luggage compartment on the door hinge support above the left hand inner wheel house.

The location is clearly marked on the vehicle.

Vehicle was involved in a front end impact - Now vehicle won't start - Right after the accident tryed to start the vehicle and it wouldn't crank.

Very simple, Ford's use inertia switches. They shut the fuel off when you are in an accident. Just call ford and ask for the location of the inertia switch on your vehicle. You just push it in to reset it.

Good luck
