There is no reset switch, you likely have a bad fuel pump, try this use a 2x4 or soft hammer to rap on the fuel tank as someone turns the switch on and off when you hear the pump hum the car will start and run but change the pump immediately. Almost every other problem that occurs in the fuel system will cause the check engine light to come on and it will set a readable code. I hope this helps. Take care.
it is an electronic fuel pump module and it is located in the fuel tank. It is pretty simple to check for fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. There will be a test port on the fuel rail.
If there is no pressure than check for power to the pump as close to the pump as you can and with the pump plugged in. Also check to make sure the fuel pump has good ground. The larger grey wire should be the power wire to the pump. Black is ground.
Sorry, your fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. The fuel tank will have to be pulled down to access the pump. BUT, first check all of the fuses, check for and bad broken wiring to the fuel tank connections.
Hello abzalkhan193
Heres a few things to check that could cut power to the fuel pump. The fuel pump inertia shutoff sw
in the trunk on the left side, there is a reset button on the switch if you push the button down and
you hear/feel a click then the switch was tripped and you just reset it. The switch's job is to cut off
the fuel in case of an accident. Next, the fuel pump fuse located in the battery fuse block under the
hood on the right fender well, fuse #1 20amp fuse. Next, the fuel pump relay, the relay is located in
relay center on the left fender well. Hope this is helpful.
if you are not recieving any fuel from the gas tank to the engine, i would check the fuel pump relay located in a black box under your hood located on the drivers side, if your fuel pump relay checks out ok, then i would check the fuel filter, located under car, near the gas tank, question is has the fuel filter been changed, in a while , or how long has it been since it has been changed, if filter is changed, and still no fuel to engine, then i would suspect the fuel pump, and it is located inside of your fuel tank under the car, hope that this information has helped you.
The pump is in the tank, the tank is in the rear (follow the big hose from where you fill it up) but dont just go put a pump in, check fuel pressure and make sure the pump is indeed getting power before replacing it. I cant tell you how many people replace a pump for no reason. I would have a shop check it for you.
Hi....
Fuel PUMP fuse and relay is located in the Engine compartment
Fused block . Driver side. under the hood.
The Fuel pump relay Is labeled F/Pump.
And the Fuel Pump Fuse is labeled ECMB ( 20 amp.)
The ground for the fuel pump is located At left rear Frame rail.
Some times the Fuel pump harnes connector burn with the old pump.
Check the connector....
OK.. I hope this help on your question.
Thank you for use fixya..
If the car stalling then the owner of the car should check on the fuel pump assembly. prepare the tools and equipment in servicing the fuel pump, the fuel lines and the fuel filters. In the fuel pump you have to locate the fuel pump, disconnect fuel lines from the fuel pump, remove fuel pump from the engine,dis-assemble fuel pump, check the diaphram for defect , replace defective parts, assemble and install the fuel pump. In checking the fuel lines : prepare the tools or equipment in servicing the fuel lines .So that the fuel will flow freely and no abstraction within the fuel lines.locate the the fuel lines ,visual inspection on dual line for leakage, disconnect lines at fuel pump and fuel tank .use compress air to remove sediment on fuel lines,re-install fuel lines to the unit. the fuel filters :prepare the equipment or tools in checking the fuel filters that is going to be used.So that when fuel filters is removed ,no fuel will spill on the vehicle and no parts are lost or broken.Locate fuel filter, disconnect lines at fuel filter ,observe safety practices ,If the fuel filter is dirty then you have to clean it but if it is worn out and not anymore to be used then install new fuel filter.
i would check for spark and if you have that check fuel pump pressure should be around 40 psi if not check fuel pump voltage at pump connection if voltage is at battery voltage at connector it is probably yhe pump the pump is located in the fuel tank
