The yellow light oil sensor on Audi TT Quattro is the warning message for the minimum oil level has been reached !!! Check engine oil level by dipstick & fill up oil inside engine !!!

I would check to see if there is a level sensor in the bottom of engine oil pan. If there is not, there is also a oil switch that threads into the block that could be bad.
measure the tread, you will have to have a pair as better than odss etc, i have changed these on a couple of quatros but were newer 06 on
not had a prob yet, if tread is no lower than 2.5 on other axle there is nothing to worry about
warning lights are usually got to do with the electronics in the carm so you should go to a mechanic and ask him to check the cars electronics which is free and he will probably say your electronic wiring is smashed the cheapest thing to do is rewire your car it would cost 100-250 euro where as if you got the car comprimised it would cost 700-900 euro
I also have a 2004 Audi A4 3.0 Quatro and the low oil sensor comes on periodically. I pull the oil dip stick and put it back and it goes away. Maybe it will work itself out.
