After starting it will idle fine, then suddenly the rpms will drop and it will run rough for a few seconds. It then catches itself, and returns to regular rpms, but when you start down the road it will suddenly start bucking, and jerking like its not getting any fuel. After about 2 minutes it runs fine.
I actually had the 02 sensors changed (even though my check engine light never came on) and the IAC (Idle control Valve) and it seems to be running fine.
Cherokees have not had carburetors since 1987 and before.
I had the same problem with my 99 Cherokee. I was told to replace the blower motor for the carburetor, works great and gas mileage improved.

I have the same problem After starting it will idle fine, then

down the road it will suddenly start bucking, and jerking like its not
getting any fuel. After about 2 minutes it runs fine. I put a new IAC on and seems to run better no more bucking but still jerks and skips.. any sugggestions??????????????????
Same problem on my 98 GC, know its not crank or temp sensors.
