Question about 2005 Chrysler 300

My chrysler 2005 oil pressure light comes on and car immediately dies. Plenty of oil in car when checked what else could it be?

PLEASE REMOVE the red lead from the battery and reintall it. My car shop sees this error all the time and have to charge the customer 100 dollars to clear it for them. You can fix your problem for 3$!!!

You might take a look at this article.
On a fully warmed up engine at idle, the oil pressure, 5psi min. So says my database.
You might be able to use an analog gage in place of the oil pressure sending unit, to double check oil pressure.

Car died while driving - oil light came on. Right before the car died, I heard fluid swooshing
Check you oil level. Is there oil on the ground?
What color is the oil?
Check coolant level and color.

You must have a fault test run on the engine control computer (called an OBD2 fault code scan), there is likely a fault code or two stored that will help diagnose the problem.

Oil pressure
Could be the oil pump going bad. The oil sensor registers oil pressure, not oil level. If it isn't pumping oil, the light will come on.

Oil light when idling
Have an oil pressure test done.
One of 4 things could possibly cause that.
Bad oil pressure sending unit.
just the oil sending unit.
weak oil pump.
low oil---check oil, see if it needs any.

My oil light keeps
You need to have oil pressure checked manually with oil pressure guage. There is a good possibility that the engine has excessive wear or a bad oil pump and oil pressure is really low. (It's like have a bad heart) That would definitely trigger oil light.If you have low pressure and its not taken care of immediately it will ruin the engine from lack of lubrication to vital parts. Truck was running but just died while moving
It sounds like it has a high pressure oil problem. does the oil pressure gauge come up while cranking? does it start when cold and not when hot? any check engine light?

Oil light keeps coming on and beeps
This is the pressure light, nothing to do with the oil needing to be being changed, you have low oil pressure being indicated, this will destroy the engine if the light is really indicating low oil pressure, have the oil pressure tested with a mechanical test guage at a shop, if the oil pressure is ok then replace the oil pressure light sending unit.
