It is probably the blower motor itself, does it change sounds or quit when operating the fan? possible debris is in fan cage, fan has a bad bearing, or a blade balancer slip on weight fell off. remove and inspect, possibly plug fan in when removed and check for operation, while fan is removed check housing compartment for debris or foreign material laying in the bottom, check fan blade for signs of rubbing contacts or broken fins

I'm driving a 05 Golf it's normally perfect but today I'm hearing a knocking/banging noise coming from the back passenger side. Any suggestions to wat it cod be please .

i needs service, we can not teach you mechanics 101.
in this silly text box.
but yeah, bearing bad or loose parts.
could be lots of thing that only a skilled tech can find using hands, eyes, ears and tests. (inspected for damage or excessive wear)
why not get it serviced. first. and not ask blind what causes noise.
even loose lug nuts?
or run over limbs and one got stuck there, look first?

05 cavalier , font grinding noise still there after replacing both wheel bearings. when driving i'll swerve back n forth and sound changes tone but still there on both sides

Could be the rears ,locating wheel bearing noise is a difficult job and even with 45 yrs experiance i still get it wrong ,ALSO I HAVE NOTICED THAT IT PAYS TO FIT ONLY SWEDISH OR GERMAN bearings even british but a lot of the spares coming in are cheap but made in china need i say any more ,your noise is definatly wheel bearings but i do feel it could be the rears and i would suggest that take an old time truck fleet fitter and sit him in the back and go for a drive ,if any of us old codgers are still alive that is

When the ignition is on a knocking noise comes from under the dash on the passenger side

I have the same problem i think.
The noise is something to do with the air con inlet gate???
Q. is there a fuse to isolate this as the position of the problemis above the glove box and can only be accessed with the dash board out and that would be very expensive.

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. i just recharged the ac but when i put it on high it makes a loud noise. tracked the noise down to under the dash on the passenger side. what is that part called and should it...

THE LOUD NOISE IS PROBABLY COMING FROM THE BLOWER MOTOR WHICH IS LOCATED IN THAT AREA. THESE SOMETIMES MAKE A LITTLE NOISE BUT IF THIS NOISE IS LOUD OR JUST DOESNT SOUND RIGHT, THE MOTOR COULD BE GOING BAD.

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

CRV has knocking sound coming from rear passenger side

inspect the braking system for warped or uneven rotor surface, as this may cause this noise and uneven pad wear. CV joints also could cause this if the boots are torn, have insufficient grease, are damaged,or have worn bearings. Hopefully this helps
