I have 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I just bought a toy hauler. I bought the electric brake control. My problem is I need to know the wiring colors for the Stop lights and the Trailer Brakes. Does any one know the Colors and location?

Hey Stan the man, need your vehicles info.,year, make, model and engine size and Tommy on the spot here will send you a picture diagram of your rear brake assembly. There's a special spring tool you can get at auto parts store to remove and install springs,me got one.
2005-2009 Toyota Tacoma Overhead Console Fuse test * does your cruise control work? * do you brake lights work? * does your dome light work? The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and brake lights. If these are working but the compass is dim, intermittent, or dead then the control module has gone bad. This is a very common problem with the 05-09 Tacoma. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!
as always it's a plstic clips , if you brake them pulling panel out you can replace them , there also few screws , i think on door handle and lock handle.
use plastic spoon or wide screw driver to pop the panel out.
I belive it would be the wire that actually sends the control signal to the controller?...correct? well the if so you would need to tap into the wire casing with a test light to see which wire is lighting the test light when the brake pedal is depressed good luck
yes this can be done by yourself the truck should have come with a pigtail that will plug up under the dash to connect the controller to. if you did not buy the truck new or no longer have that pigtail you can buy them at the dealer they cost approx. $30. all of the newer trucks are prewired for the trailer brakes.
