The right (passenger) side cylinder head is numbered from front

per 2001 Toyota repair manual page EM-103 and 105. The numbers are not on the engine, from what I can see, but the manual is very specific on this info.

Ford freestar 2006, cylinder 6 code po301 cylinder 1 misfire

Standing on the passenger side.looking at the engine. Number 1 is the first cylinder on your left. Follow the wire to the coil. unplug it at the coil, lay the end of the plug close to the tip of the cap and start the engine. If there isn't multiple sparks, replace the coil. If there is , replace the plug and or wire. If you still have a misfire after that, do a compression test on number 1 cylinder.

Cylinder 1 misfire 2003 chevy impala.. My car started running rough all of a sudden today. like the engine was shaking. took it to auto one said cylinder 1 misfire. what does that mean & what should i...

a number one misfire means that the number one cylinder is no longer working as good as it should or is not working at all. The number one cylinder is on the back side of the engine on the passenger side. 1-3-5 are the three cylinders in the back.

Three basic things can cause a misfire.
1. a bad spark plug wire
2. a bad spark plug.
3. a bad injector.

Remove the sparks plug wire from the spark plug and remove the spark plug. Inspect the inside of the wire and the outside of the plug to see if there is any carbon tracking. it will look like black lightning bolts. If there is any carbon tracking replace the plugs and wires.

Check the spark plug gap. It should be around .060". if its over .080" the plug is worn out.

Check for spark with a spark tester.

the fuel injector is a little trickier.

Start with the things above and let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

2001 gmc jimmy po171 lean bank code what could be the fix is it a possable o2 sensor

More than likely bank 1 sensor has a possible vacuum leak, or a lean misfire on that side of the bank.(lean misfire happens when gap of spark plug are exceed due to wear), As for the 02 sensor I agree that it is reporting the true engine condition on that side of the bank

2001 mitsubishi mirage OBD 2 code P0301 cylinder #1 misfire detected. where should i start to look or replace?

check the cylinder number 1, it should be the one that is on side where the timing belt is. I would say check the spark plug cuz it might be bad and not sparking and causes a misfire. If you got any other questions please feel free. Good luck

Cylinder #1 misfire

#1 cylinder is the first one on the front of the engine on the drivers side. the reason for your misfire is most likely either a bad plug, bad plug wire, the coil pack or all of the above
