I would recommend that you check to see if you are getting spark from the coil/coil packs. If this is not the issue, then you may be looking at a timing problem.

Mike fuel filter may be dirty and plugging after running tank so low or possibly fuel pump has now weakened and is failing. Have vehicle scanned o see if diagnostic codes are stored to help diagnose.

Why wont my 1989 buick lesabre wont start ?

Does it crank? Or there's no crank no start? If it cranks safely get under the vehicle and bang on the fuel tank while someone holds the key in the crank position with the vehicle in park. If it starts it is most likely the fuel pump.

97 LaSabre won't start, will shut off when runnin, has had fuel pump replaced 3 times, and battery terminals are good. Any ideas?

The crank sensor will sometimes fail when the car gets hot. I have ran some of these cars before until they cut off. I sprayed come water on the crank sensor and the car restarted. Replaced crank sensor and the car did not come back again for that problem again.
