You must thoroughly check all electrical wiring harness connections.Dirty or loose contacts may cause the problem. Unplug -Inspect-clean - replug. Also fuses well fitted to cases.

Check the altinator if its an import, if not take the hose off from the air filter to the intake manifold, spray carburator cleaner into the manifold by holding the butterfly choke opened. Spray about a whole can, then reconnect the hose and turn the key...It will not start right away, but the reaction is verry awesome!!! You will notice better performance and also better gas milage. If this occurs, you should change oil and filter and spark plugs and wires, if you do not have wires then spark plugs will do

Start checking fuel filter, fuel pump and injectors.

First thing you need to do is understanding if it is a fuel problem or a distribution problem.
When it is a fuel problem the engine will cut off like there is no fuel. In this case first things to check are the fuel filter ( you can replace this by yourself), the fuel pump and injector system.
If it is a distribution problem instead usually the car start having problems on one cylinder because of spark plugs, or cut down suddenly for problems with distributor.

In some case problems with alarm system or ECU can cause the engine to turn off itself.

Well , go to a mechanic then. If you did a basic checkup already you should have the car inspected personally by a qualified mechanic.

My suzuki vitara with 2 ltr peugeot engine after power washing engine going into limp mode??

You likely got water into the distributor cap or spark plug wires. Get some wire dryer spray from your local auto parts store and spray the inside of the wires on both ends and remove the distributor cap ( if so equipped) and spray it liberally too. Give everything about 2 minutes to dry, then replace. Do the wires 1 at a time, so you don't change the cylinder order they go to.

PT:
the Part time 4wd must not be driving on dry pavement.
so drive to dirt or grass or ice and then shift back to 2wd

there is a TSB from Suzuki on wind up.

exceptions?
sure , the 2004 options statement here. and the rules for PT 4wd.

Who makes the diesel engine in the suzuki grand vitara

The 1.9-litre diesel engine in the latest version is sourced from Renault and delivers a hefty 221 ft lbs of torque for reassuring operation both on and off road. This power makes the Grand Vitara a far more versatile proposition, with even enough power to pull a small caravan if required.

SUSUKI VITARA 2008 ENGINE

Hello, I think Suzuki offered Peugeot/Citroen Diesel engines in the earlier models but started offering Renault Diesel in 2006. I believe that the gas motors were all Suzuki.
