Hi, pull the trim plate off the dash around the radio. The trim may go all around the instrument panel. With the trim plate off, you can see the factory radio screws. Take the screws out, pull the radio out and remove the connectors, including the antenna wire.
You will need an adapter to fit the aftermarket radio snugly into the dash. They sell these wherever they sell aftermarket radios. I recommend you also buy the cable adapter. If you don't, at least buy the antenna adapter of you will no be able to plug your antenna into the new CD player.
Follow the instructions on putting the adapter together--it's made for a lot of different cars. You need it to screw into your dash where the screws came out.
If you buy the wire adapter, follow the directions that come with it. I recommend you solder the wires, but you can use those crimp connectors if you don't have soldering equipment.
If you don't buy the adapter cable, use the factory wire colors below to match up the aftermarket wires to your factory wires. Wrap any solder connections with electrical tape and carefully plug everything back in, including the antenna adapter and antenna cable. With the adapter plate attached to the new player, carefully push the wiring aside to get the player into the slot and then screw it in. check the system for proper operation and then replace the trim panel.
Enjoy your CDs, and let me know if you have any questions.

Super Easy! Go buy a 'wiring harness' (walmart or any other car stereo place) and some electrical tape. If you are going from a 'double din' to a single (most silverados have a double din) you will need a 'mounting kit' available at the same places. You pry gently the plastic piece (surrounds the instrument cluster to the other side of the radio) a flat screwdriver works great, and it pops out. There may be two screws on either side of the old radio or there may not be. Our truck doesn't have screws it just has a clip on either side that we pushed down and the old radio just slid out. Connect the same color wires from the wiring harness to the new radio and twist them together and wrap them in electrical tape. When you have it all connected, follow the instructions on installing the mounting kit and you shouldn't have any problems. The wiring harness should directly plug into the original plug for the radio, the hardest part should be plugging the antenna wire back in. If you have any problems with it feel free to email me [email protected]. Good Luck!

I cannot enter cd in cd player in mazda 626

If the radio works, there might already be a CD in the player. If the radio is NOT working, check the fuse. Another option would be to disconnect the battery for a minute, or so, to reset everything. Just some initial thoughts that may or may not work.

Radio works ok, nothing from the cd player its like there is no power to the unit, nothing happens when you insert a disk or press the disk button just dead, any ideas. cheers Nick. ps its a standard...

If the radio works but the CD player doesn't it's something internal to the unit. The radio and CD player get their power source from the same wire that goes into the unit.

CD stuck in CD player and won't eject.

Disconnect the fuse for the radio. This is cause the radio to reboot. You do not need to mess with the battery. After replacing the fuse, or removing, it, and putting it back in, you can proceed to try to remove the CD. I used a pair of tweezers.I actually jammed two CDs into the player. Hope this helps.

Controls for radio/cd player work on and off.

I had similar issues with my audio being mute intermittenly. I ended up being a penny in the CD player slot. (I think the previous owners kid put a penny thru the CD player slot) It also shorted out my DVD system, the DVD player would not come on. The dealership where I bought it seen me to GV Electronics to have my DVD player replaced, and they removed my CD Player and heard change banging around in the Player. After dis assembling it, they found the penny. Everytime I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, the audio would mute.

03 vibe cd player will not respond

I blew a fuse controlling the radio, charging system, turn signals, heater fan, ,etc..this ran down my battery.

When I replaced the fuse, the CD player would not respond, but the radio worked.

I disconnected the battery for over 30 seconds, hooked it back up, and the time reset on the radio to 12:00 and the CD player works again.

Replaced radio with one from same model year. Displays Err 01.

this generally means the laser is either dirty or the cd player is shot, err 01 is a disc reading problem. Try cleaning lens with cleaning disc first if this does not help i would replace the unit with another. i would recommend replacing it with a cheap aftermarket stereo.
