Mazda mpv 2002 wont start after timing chain replacement, only make smooth sound, why

The camshaft was not properly aligned when you replaced the chain. It is vital that the timing marks all line up before you close the timing cover and try to start the engine.

2000 kia sephia 1.8 twincame timing belt diagram

Below are some diagrams for you. I also gave you the proper order when installing the belt and it does need to be in this order. Also I have had it to where I was sure that it was lined up when it wasn't and don't ask me why so I would rotate the engine a couple of times (clockwise) and then check your marks again just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps...

Timing is off . can you tell me if its the #8 cyl @tdc or #1 tdc. its a 1964 international pickup 4x4 c1100 4.4 v8 i think wth 4 barrel carb

take it your trying to strobe it ?? good old fashioned motors easy to do ,it could be timed to any one of its 8 cylinders so try 1 then eight and if no luck seeing the mark then try all the others in turn as could be no5 even

Changed timing belt after breaking now car idles rough

If the timing marks are aligned properly and you rechecked the timing. Check that a vacuum line didn't fall off. After a belt replacement always recheck the ignition timing it will change. But if it ran smooth before timing or a line is off.

Never fixed a problem in a car before help..... i have a chevy venture 2001 wth a p0302 misfire cylinder need help to fix please

first off check your spark plug wires. take them off one at a time and look for cracks or white burn marks. if they look fine check your spark plugs(make sure they are gapped correctly) and clean. if not either of those problems you will need to check the coil pack and ignition module. you may want to have someone with experience do this but if you want me to i can tell you how to ohm them and make sure they are functioning properly.

does the check engine light flash or is it on when the car misfires?? Bythe way, Nissan has a new program available for your ECM/computer for the long cranking condition. Check with your local NIssan dealer. Also spark plugs are rated for 105K, You have 110K on it. Check your plugs and make sure, that you use NGK if they need to be replaced. Also, look at your overflow bottle. If its down, top it off to FULL mark and monitor the level for few days. See if it goes down in like a week. I have seen some headgasket problems, where the coolant gets into the cylinders and drown the spark plug, causing a misfire. Let me know what you find. Lets get to the bottom of this and lets fix it.
