Refit timing cover , line up marks on crank pulley with mark on timing cover T D C, turn camshaft till No. 4 cylinder valves are just rocking , line up marks on crank gear with mark on head or block, we now have compression stroke on No. one cylinder, fit belt and rotate engine and recheck marks
Depending on if there is AC, all belts go on the passenger side. Let me know what belt exactly you are referring to ie: serp, ac, timing...and I can provide a better answer.
Hello tinaromano1: The factory specification are to replace the belt every 90,000 miles in severe service. I would recommend to replace at 90,000 no matter what the service would be. out of the top by the way these japenese take out motors are quite a good investment. Although word up change front and rear seals. then make sure they have the same timing belt and gears as the engine that is being replaced.
