Did you check for battery power at the fuses, or did you give them the "Eyeball Test". The two fuses involved in your problem are fuse "O" and fuse "H". Fuse "O" will only have battery power when the ignition switch is in the "ACC" or "ON" positions. Fuse "H" will have battery power at all times. If both of these fuses have battery power when they are supposed to, the problem is probably your illumination control switch is either defective or turned off. If fuse H has no power, the problem is in the main wiring harness between the battery and the fuse block. If fuse "O" does not have power when it is supposed to, the problem is most likely your ignition switch.

My CRX roof wont go up and down with the switch on the dash, yet the boot lid goes up with the key, cheecked fuses ok, cheecked plug and control box fault LED flashed seven times and then later on flashed...

7 blinks (roof lock switch, not operated by user)
9 blinks (rear window switch not operated by user)
These codes mean user has not undone roof locks or rear window is not fully closed
Providing that is not your problem, reset roof control unit
Turn ignition off
In under bonnet fuse box remove fuse 32 7.5 amp for 20 seconds
Refit fuse and check roof operation
This clears codes and resets roof

Dash and shifter lights in 1996 jeep cherokee wont light

Hello and welcome to FixYa . Locate the dial that controls the brightness of the dashboardlights. If the control is not immediately evident. Make sure the brightness control is turned on. If it is and the lights aren't working, the problem may be a bad fuse. Check the fuse that controls the dashboard lights Replace the fuse if necessary. If just one part of the instrument panel is not lighting up, then you have either a burned-out bulb or a wiring problem.
