It sounds like the left side motor or mechanism is not operating for whatever reason. If you can gain access to the left side motor or mechanism, perhaps you can remove the motor, and then turn the mechanism manually, in order to close the sunroof? Hope this helps.
Hi there thanks for the super fast reply.i would like to know how to gain access to the motor or mechanism thanks a million
I would imagine that you would have to remove the headliner to gain access. That would be the only way to get in there. Unless there is a place to install a manual crank in an event where the sunroof motor fails. I have seen this before, but I forget which car.
Thanks dude it seems so :( i have read that many people have removed all the interior from the ceiling to gain access to the whole sun roof mechanism
oh one more question would you know how to remove the glass without doing the whole interior removal thing
On your particular car, I have no familiarity, but I don't think it will be possible.
thanks dude i appreciate that you tried to help me
im searching for help on a 2004 megane door mirror. Point. I used to have a clio an the same thing happened. This is probably not the motor. the french do things their own way. the cables for each side of the roof are bonded to the the pulleys, one has simply popped off. however, this isnt a cheap replacement. I was quoted £465.00 (stupid amounts by renault) for a bare assembly. i searched breakers yards and found a guy in the north of england who would post me down for a couple hundred quid. price encluded the glass as easy to break when seperating from the frame work.
