Question about 1995 BMW 5 Series
Just bought a 95 525i. It is not exactly overpowered in the horsepower department. I was talking about that yesterday with a BMW mechanic. He said to use "the good stuff" i.e. 93- yes it costs more, but your MPG will be somewhat higher, and your engine should be a little more energetic. He said to stay away from the warehouse gas places- Costco, Sams, and Sheetz. They tend to have a high percentage of ethanol in their gas, which will eventually destroy your catalytic converter... as time goes by, ethanol is getting harder to avoid. The gas station should have a sign saying if their gas has ethanol, and what percentage. You can use it if you have to, but don't make a habit out of it.
