Yah i have a 2000 accent Gs its true the shifting is horrible. 3rd grinds sumetimes, sumetimes the reverse wont go in gear. All the sensers are screwed up. For exemple my truck light was on and when i pressed the brakes it would go Off. My check engine is On caused by the catalitic senser. My hand brake light is on even when i changed the switch other the hand brake itself and changed the brakes drumps and everything. Anyways hyundai Stands for Haches You Unlickely Named Dumb And Incompetent

Yea same here. i bought my 2000 hyundai accent si for $3800.00. i loved it at first, then i found out the wipers dont work. $280.00 later they're working, but my mechanic told me that this is a big problem with accents. my dash light doesnt work either. i checked all the fuses and they're all good. i havent found out how to get behind the dash, im contemplating whether or not it's worth it. the shifting is horrible too. cant shift down into 1st without a horrible grinding sound. same with 3rd. =S

SOURCE: dash lights

possibility of a dimmer switch malfunction, did you check all the fuses under the dash and also under the hood. check thuroughly because you might have missed one.

And where your dimmer switch is, us a stanely knife on the corner and it should pop out.. peice of cake, the dimmer has 2 wires in it so you can take a volts tester to see if it gets current when your head lights are on. Alos if it is getting current only on 1 side you can bypass it for another test by just running a wire from both points.

Does your other dash peices light up like your ac controlls and your clock?
if so it might be part of the dash cluster has just burnt out, bulb wise and 3-4 screws around the cluster and it pulls out also. All hondas are like legos and they come apart Very simpley.

If it isnt either of those, then you might have a bad MFS witch is shot for multi function switch and it is the lever that controlls your lights. Its expensive to replace though and is a hastle to remove from the steering coloum to test.

Get yourself a volts, oms tester and check the dimmer switch 1st.
if thats alright then test with the wire.
if thats alright then check the back lights behind your cluster for burtn out bulbs,
and if all that looks good your down to the fuses might just look good, and the MFS

hope that narrows it down for you

Good Luck!

I have a 2006 picup Isuzu diesel dmax the tail light and dashboard light does noet word all fuses are allright!

Have you checked the fuses with a test light with the fuses in place?Did you check them with the key on and light switch on?You should have a fuse for dash and tail and it is usually the same fuse for both.If the fuses are still OK you can always add a fused circuit to power the dash light/tail light circuit.

I have 1990 300E Mercedes the dash board light not coming but all fuses in the fuse box are ok if there's another fuse for dash board light where can I find?

Fuses can be bad, even though they look good, and connections may be corroded so there is not a good connection for the light. Double check to ensure bright metal contacts.

Alternator & dash light

ok , i bet you didnt test all fuse. in dash and under hood, i bet
fuses that look good, can be bad (hair cracks)
use and ohmeter, 0ohms good, infinity bad.
if you have 12v and the Cig lighter and the dash is dead.
then the fuses are blown.
