Mercury grand marquis wont stay cranked

Someone will need to check for spark to the plugs and fuel pressure when it fails to start. Could be a relay or several other components.

I hav 2000 grand marqius ls - When I changed spark plog thei found engine oil on it particularly cylinder No. 3 and 4 that the car was Shaking before I change the spark

When you get oil into the cylinders that are side by side, you may have a bad head gasket or bad stem seals on the valves. When all 4 cylinders on that side of the engine are oil-covered you can have additional problems like bad piston rings.

You should have a compression test to determine what the condition of the rings is before removing a head. If the compression is good, a good mechanic may be able to change the Valve seals without a complete teardown. If not, the problem must be fixed by pulling the bad head.

Where are the spark plugs located on a 2000 Mercury grand Marquis?

There are eight COPs (coil-on-plugs) to remove. Using a 7mm or 9/32" socket, remove each bolt securing each COP to the intake manifold on top of the engine. Remove all eight COPs, and the spark plugs are underneath. When replacing the spark plugs, use only the proper Ford/Motorcraft plugs, even if they cost twice as much as the aftermarket ones. You will avoid further headaches this way. Hope this helps.

if the moisture was on the outside of the plug most likely water got into the hole. this causes high stress on the coil and causes them to break down. If the plug was replaced and the symptom returned
i would replace the coil.
