My car,Suzuki Alto Auto SZ4, O9 reg purchased new from Suzuki approved dealer. Have trouble with no wash supply to rear window. Also carpet under drivers feet on the sill side very wet. Car taken to dealer 6/1/11 for attention under warranty. Full details of fault supplied for mechanic. Collected car pm 6/1/11. Back home, I found washer reservoir completely empty and still wet carpet. Rang dealer to complain 7/1/11, told to take car in again. Problem, Can you please confirm my suspicion that there must be a break in the feed pipe from the reservoir to the rear window and this must be in the sill area under the carpet ? Dealer says this problem has been reported several times due to the low temp's we have had recently. The carpet moisture is very annoying as this of course could increase the possibilities of corrosion on the metal car floor. Your help and any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks. Mr N.KIRK.

The pipe has come off its connection, push the drivers seat fully back and kneel on the ground beside the seat. Stick you head in the footwell as far as you can and look to the right (drivers side) past the back of the fusebox. You'll see a few inches of clear plastic pipe protruding from under the carpet which connects to a nipple mounted on the inner side panel of the car via a right angled black rubber pipe. On mine the right angled pipe had come off the nipple. Push it back on and all is well until it freezes again. Cable tie is one answer.

Maruti Suzuki India launched a new version of the first generation Alto in the Indian auto market in August 2010, the Alto K10.[30] The new Maruti Alto K10 is equipped with the company's 1.0L, K-series petrol engine which also currently powers the Celerio and Wagon R. The K10B engine delivers 68 PS (50 kW) of maximum power at 6,200rpm with 90 N·m (66 lb·ft; 9 kg·m) of maximum torque at 3200 rpm. The K10 has a redesigned front end, with more sculpted headlights. This spelled the end for the F10-engined model, while the F8-engined Alto was replaced by the all new Alto 800 in late 2012. The Alto K10 remained in production until 2014.
