Nissan only has the key codes for Maxima 1998 & up as of 6/23/22. I tried to get a key for my 1997 Maxima.

I couldn't find the key code anywhere in the car or manual. A little metal tag was suppose to come with the original keys. I don't remember getting one of those when I bought the Car in 1997.

Hi I have 2003 Rav4, I lost transponder key with the remote locking. Made another key without remote locking. Bought remote locking kit from third party and need to fix. It contains 2 remote and one device...

for a start, the transponder KEY, HAS to be coded into the car to start it.the remote is a seperate item but works in conjunction with the key.buying a seperate system is a waste of money,as it CANNOT be used in conjunction with the fitted system.buy a remote and get it coded with the spare(s) into the car, by a dealer that can do the job.the alarm works this way....the remote has TWO codes one fixed the other rolling, every time you operate it the rolling code changes(stops others from "learning")the fixed code allows the key to be recognised when put into the ignition and start the car(if the remote battery goes flat you can still start the car with the key but the alarm may sound if the doors have been locked by the remote).without the remote/key the car is effectively dead.stops theives from stealing your car cos they need to replace the whole ingnition system to get it going.

Lost factory remote (lock/unlock) celica 2003 how

buy new remotes then have the keys/remotes reprogrammed.as your celica has a rolling code once done, only you can start it with your remotes/keys.(a rolling code means that every time you lock the car with the remote one of the two codes in the remote changes,so only you can start the car)

Need one replacement key and remote

You'll find the prices on eBay very reasonable for key blanks & remote units. If you have the transponder key, you'll still save money buying the key elsewhere & having it programmed at your dealer.

I use eBay often & looked this up for you:

Keyless Remote: item # 320484718788 24.99 + 7.48 S&H w/programming instructions.

Ignition Key: Item # 250577989265 9.95 + 4.95 S&H see this one for detailed programming information.

Of course there are many other places to buy the keys & the remotes, I just like the buyer guarantee from PayPal.

good luck.

2004 honda acoord keys locked out key6 light flashes on dash how do i reset

The green key light on the dash is your immobilizer system. If it flashes at you while you are cranking (no start). This means the key that you are using is not programmed to the immobi control unit. Try using another key. if all other keys are lost you'll have to get it down to you local honda dealer. it takes a special honda scan tool to program these keys to the control unit. If you don't want to spend money on a tow truck, ask you dealer about the Brake Code. This is a code specific to each vehicle. If your keys are lost/stolen you can input this Brake Code into the control unit by using your e-brake (special procedure). this will give you 10 free starts to get it to your dealer. (limp-in mode).

I lost my remote entry key for 2001 Toyata Tacoma.

your tacoma keys were specially coded for that very truck you are driving and the code on the key communicates with your ecm brain computer. either a dealer or a licensed stereo alarm shop can remedy this for you.
