Because it's a BMW and as far as i'm concern, they are a heap of s**t. I've just been told today by a BMW dealership in Dublin that they want a €160 to look at the radio and between €900 - €1,200 to fix the radio. Never before I had a radio problem in my life until I bought the BMW. It has my heart broken and my pocket empty. Pure junk.

Maybe the electric blow heater is on. They have faulty switches. Goodluck.

2005 Kia Sedona EX having charging issues. Battery was replaced in September last year.?

the evidence above is not enough.
my guess is battery voltage drops everyday car sits unused.
yes?
then we call that PHANTOM drain.
alt 13.3 to 15volts is good.
you have drain, that is illegalll.
bogus drain, a current drain fault
a real shop finds this 2 ways,
1: ammeter test.
2; or pulls fused 1 by 1 until drain falls below 0.050 amps, 50mA.
lacking an ammeter, makes finding it impossible blind
he meter unblinds the tech hey see the drain and find it.

ok test 3 no tools (luck happens)
dead night, no lamps street , driveway or garaged.
wait 30min for eyes to go NIGHT VISION (you in dark room)
now go to car and look ever inch for a lamp glowing
inside and outside. find it.
if the dome lite is on , bingo. and glove lamps. hood and trunk , dash and more, luck happens even just eyeballs.

A constant tick-tocking is heard, and when passenger dorr is open for 5 minutes or so, while checking fuse panel, the clicking stops... but when I close the door, it starts again... What to do,,. Remo

First, remove the cigar lighters ans see if the noise stops.
Second, remove fuses one at a time to locate which fuse is associated with the noise.
Third, if that does not help, post the make, model, and year of the car so we can help you more.

Battery drain

Remove the fuse for radio. The tape player should stop clicking. Then try to see if the battery dies.

I had to jump my Subaru tribeca twice in two days due to a dead battery now the truck in constantly hard to start. Bettery starter and alt all checked out OK. Any suggestions

Sounds like either a bad connection, or something is draining the battery when it's turned off. Maybe you already did, but the first step is to make sure that the terminals are clean and tight, and wipe down the top of the battery. Dirt on the surface of the battery can connect the terminals and drain the battery.

Battery charge faulty

1.) Please describe the situation.
2.) how old is the battery ?
3.) is it discharging over night ?
4.) Did you have the charging system checked and whats the charging voltage ?

BATTERY DRAINS or Runs out over night, vehicle runs fine once started..

This occurs because of a defective battery. Usually a cell is damaged. To verify this, run the vehicle so it recharges the battery. once you get home, remove the negative pole from the battery. leave it overnight reconnect in the morning. It it starts then there is something in the vehicle draining power. If it doesn't you have a bad battery. If its a sealed battery get it replaced. If its one with the caps pop the caps and make sure it has enough electrolyte, jump the vehicle and look into the cells to see if its bubbling or smoking. If so replace the battery. If there is none, then it just needed electrolyte.

There is no power from the Alternator to charge the battery,, VEHICLE DIES WHEN BATTERY DIES..

go to a repair shop as soon as possible or if you have the skillets replace the alternator.

keep me posted.

New starter, alt, and battery but battery drains over night boost car and runs all day next day no start. manual transmission so i roll down hill and it starts but not when battery is totally dead

there are not a lot of computers that could be causing the drain, so baring any aftermarket accessories you should start searching for an indirect short to power

prop hood and leave the doors open... this is important because you do not want to wake the computers once you start your test

next, unplug the negative battery cable and insert a DVOM in series

drain should be less than 80mA after 30-90 minutes

if drain is higher, start pulling fuses until the drain is isolated

2002 C200 battery drain

Make sure everything is turned off..radio, lights, etc. If they are.. something must be shorting. you have to start a the battery and trace the wires until you find where it is coming from. Im' sure you have a mult-meter of some sort if you know its a constant 3 volts.

Discharging of the batteries at night.

it could be a faulty battery or you have a constant drain on the battery, i.e alarm/ radio/central locking if installed any drain on the battery needs to be checked..
