The evap solenoid is on the charcoal canister in the fuel evap system, The no start problem can be resolved by replacing the Purge Control Valve, Hyundai p/n 28910-22040. These are warranty items. The O2 sensor trouble code was probably from the over rich fuel mixture caused by the other problems. Wait til after the other items are fixed and then watch for the O2 sensor trouble code to reappear.

I have a 93 mercury cougar, 3.8. When I first start it up and give it gas it'll sputter then stall and the check engine light will come on and it won't start again unless I give it gas and even after it...

It needs a gascap. You can get a free scan at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys. A Code will be set if the cap is loose or missing.

There are other possible reasons for your drivability problems, but get the scan, put on a gascap and fix scan results.

Check your throttle position sensor or throttle body is dirty might have to purchase an air intake spray cleaner to clean your throttle body..

Dash Warning lights stay on constantly while engine running.

Hi, It could be the voltage regulator! Do the lights get brighter when you give it gas?

My check engine light keeps blinking everytime i put my feet on the gas

The check engine light means that something is out of specifications on one of the sensors.
For instance, if the throttle position sensor was bad, then the light would go on indicating that it was getting a signal inconsistant with expected data in the computer.

I would have the car scanned with an OBD-II Scanner that can give a code that tells what system to look at.

OBD-II Scanners work on cars 1996 and up so yours should have that system.

One can get a scanner from Sears or Walmart for under $100 that can do this for you.
Or, one can go to Autozone or Advance Auto and get it scanned for free, for driveability issues.

Good luck on this diagnosis.

Check engine light came on what could this be . the light came on shortly after the low fuel light came on could this be connected?

How many miles do you have on the car, usually they want you to have your emission checked at a certain mileage.

I recieved the following Warning lights: VSC and Engine Check

You have an issue with the engine. The other lights come on when the Check Engine light comes on. The most common reason for the Ck Engine light on is a loose gas cap. If the cap is tight, you will need to find someone who can scan the car's ECU and give you the DTC code. Without the code, we cannot provide any more ionfor at this time.Get the code and get back to us; then we can solve the problem.

Check engine light

Go to Autozone and have them scan the engine code. Post what you find. My guess is an O2 sensor.
