Tips for operating Air conditioning system on Toyota Hilux and someother...

To cool off your Toyota after it has been parked in the hot sun, drive with the windows open for a few minutes. This vents the hot air, allowing the air conditioning to cool the interior more quickly.

Make sure the air intake grilles in front of the windshield are not blocked (by leaves or snow, for example).

On humid, do not blow cold air on the windshield. The windshield could fog up because of the difference in air temperature on the inside and outside of the windshield.

Keep the area under the front seats clear to allow air to circulate throughout the vehicle.

On cold days, set the fan speed to high for a minute to help clear the intake ducts of snow or moisture. This can reduce the amount of fogging on the windows.

When driving on dusty roads, close all windows. If dust thrown up b the vehicle is still drawn into the vehicle after closing the windows, it is recommended that the in intake be set to FRESH and the fan speed to any setting except "OFF".

If following another vehicle on a dusty road, or driving in windy and dusty conditions, it is recommended that the air intake be temporarily set to RECIRCULATE, which will close off the outside passage and prevent outside air and dust from entering the vehicle interior.

HEATING

For best results, set controls to;
Fan speed ---- Any setting except "OFF"
Temperature----Towards WARM (red zone)
Air intake ---- FRESH (outside air)
Air flow ---- FLOOR
Air conditioning ---- OFF

For quick heating, select recirculated air for a few minutes. To keep the windows from fogging, select fresh after the vehicle has been warmed.

Press the "A/C" button on for dehumidified heating.

Choose floor/windshield air flow to heat the voltage interior while defrosting or defogging the windshield.

AIR CONDITIONING

For best results, set controls to;

Fan speed --- Any setting except 'OFF"
Temperature --- Towards COLD (blue zone)
Air intake --- (outside air)
Air flow --- PANEL
Air conditioning --- ON

For quick cooling, move the air intake selector to recirculate for a few minutes.

VENTILATION

For best results, set controls to;

Fan speed --- Any setting except 'OFF"
Temperature --- Towards COLD (blue zone)
Air intake --- (outside air)
Air flow --- PANEL
Air conditioning --- ON

DEFOGGING

The inside of the windshield

For best results, set controls to:

Fan speed --- Any setting except 'OFF"
Temperature --- Towards WARM (red zone) to heat; COLD (blue zone) to cool
Air intake --- FRESH (outside air)
Air flow --- WINDSHIELD
Air conditioning --- ON

The outside of the windshield

For best results, set controls to:

Fan speed --- Any setting except 'OFF"
Temperature --- Towards WARM (red zone)
Air intake --- FRESH (outside air)
Air flow --- WINDSHIELD
Air conditioning --- OFF

On humid days, do not blow cold air on the windshield. The windshield could fog up because of the difference in air temperature on the inside and outside of the windshield.

DEFROSTING

The outside of the windshield

For best results, set controls to:

Fan speed --- Any setting except 'OFF"
Temperature --- Towards WARM (red zone)
Air intake --- FRESH (outside air)
Air flow --- WINDSHIELD
Air conditioning --- OFF

To heat the vehicle interior while defrosting the windshield, choose floor/windshield air flow.

The heater in my excel blows cold air only . The dimist still works just no heat what should i look for?

There are several things that you can do about a heater blowing cold air, but if you keep running into problems then it might just be time to call in a heating repair company. If need be, here is a useful article on: HVAC installation cost, and how to get a fair price. How serious of an issue this is depends greatly on where you live. If you live in the north (Bozeman, MT, etc), then I'd recommend you have your furnace inspected annually to ensure that it is working properly. I'd also recommend that you install a backup means of heat...just in case. ASM has over 25 years of heating and air conditioning experience. If you have questions about a heater blowing cold air or any other HVAC related topic, try the ASM Air Conditioning and Heating Blog or if something your contractor is telling you seems expensive or doesn't sound quite right, consider using our Online Air Conditioning Consultation Service.

00 vw bettle air condition air is not cold, but full of freeon, what to check, also heat is cold

you dont have freon at your ac , you have R134A gas. Second thing is what was the pressure on HP and LP after ac service, how much gas was added. The second thing is what climate control you have at your car, if automatic check dtc, if manula check connection on relay for ac clutch. Its very easy to find but i need more details ...

I have a 1992 mercedes 200 E WDB 021 Saloon, it has 8 button air condition and I dont know how to use it. Control wheel on blue position but When I push the button (leftmost)which has a glass figure on it,...

The pulley on the air condition has to turn it has a belt on it. The Compressor engages to pre cool the evaporator. Most likely you have a blend door pod leak or leak in the hose or the sampler valve is bad. I would replace the sampling valve behind the glove box/air bag. As that reads the cabin temp and if it thinks the car is cold the heat will stay on because everything is automatic. All vents will blow cold when it thinks its hot and in addition to floor and corner dash center vents will blow cold when it works. If the direction of air is correct then the A/C system may have a leak or need a charge of freon.

1997 buick lesabre HEATER PROBLEMS The fan works fine but it doesn;t heat up. Cold air is always blowing out of the vents

This could be several things. First I would check that the thermostat is not stuck open. This will condition will make the car run cold when it is cold outside.

If this is not the case........and I'm assuming you've already checked that the antifreeze is full, make sure that the heater valve is working. If it is frozen in place then it won't move and won't allow the warm water to circulate through the heater core.

I'm basing my answers on a standard Lesabre. Yours may not have the standard climate control.

No heat. Fan blows cold air.

I think u may have an air temperature control blend door problem, the door is moved by a small electric motor, it is stuck in the cold position.
