My car started runnin funny afew weeks ago. you can crank the car and it will run fine at first as the car warms the car starts skipping. It skips through all the gears at first but then levels out correctly. while you are driving down the road it will be running fine and then just start skipping. I changed the plugs and the idol control sensor. also when you stop the car dies. what can be causeing this problem

Have ya checked the timing belt to see if it has stripped teeth or broken? Thats a common problem on those seein how ppl dont even heed warnings on the timing belt .. check it and let me know.. Thanks.. get back to me

Have the EGR systen checked for the engine warms up good when cold and if the egr is not working the engines will run sluggish upon when warmed up

Idle air control valve only controls air into the engine while idling. If your vehicle is running rough and skips, its misfiring. Make sure that the new plugs are properly gapped and timing is set right on the distributor side, intake hose isnt leaking. Re-inspect the sparkplugs for fouling (black, burnt, brown etc). if ok, have the computer scanned for the error at autozone (free). Post the code online...hopefully this helpd
