Are you the guy who had P0302 code.P0453 is the fuel tank pressure sensor is reading to much pressure to high that would explane why it would pass emissions Iwould check a part called the canaster vent soleniodif its stuck or cloged you would have a high pressure level in the tank it sends fuel vaper to the charcoal canaster from the tank where it is stored until your at highway speed then the canaster purge sloeniod opens and the vaper is burned in the engine. Ihave a 96 blazer and had a simaler problem but i was getting P0304 # 4 cylinder misfire although i had to replace the fuel pump to but that was part of the problem. You need to remove the spare tire and its on the top of the frame cross member above the tire mount check the filter thats in it and you can check to see if it works by jumping 12 volts across it it should click you will feel it move if its good. Ican't say for sure but i can't see the vehicle and this makes a lot of sence to check first and likely will clear up the problem it cost about 30 dollars for a new one

What is the torque specs for the bolts on the automatic transmisson oil pan on a 2006 gmc envoy

Last I looked around 14 ft lbs. I advise you to convert to inch pounds and evenly tighten as per manual bolt sequence in three steps. I will mention you should double check my memory... I am fairly certain 12 to 18 ft lbs, but just the same go to youtube for a bid showing the correct method of torquing bolts.
For what it is worth many parts stores will let you get a peak at a manual.

Sensor codes

This is what the codes mean.

Your carburetor and fuel system is acting up (or you lost the fuel cap!)
You need a carburetor and engine service. This is not a user friendly problem!

2003 GMC Envoy I6 coolant problem and rough idle

Do you have heat coming out of the heater after the thermostat opens? If you do and the truck is still over heating the head gasket could be blown and burning the antifreeze through the cylinders and thus would cause a rough idle. You may want to run a compression test on the truck. Just to be sure your assumption is correct that the head gasket is good. Have you felt the heater hose to make sure it is circulating through the heater and it is not plugged. Hope this helps.

Po453 code for 1998 gmc sierra

P0453 - Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage-this usually means the vent solenoid is defective and needs replacement, but I would clear the code with a scanner (or disconnect the negative battery cable for five minutes) and see if it comes back-often this is set by:

  • Open on FTP sensor signal wire
  • Short to voltage on FTP sensor signal wire
  • Bad FTP sensor
  • Abnormally high pressure in fuel tank due to blockage in EVAP purge hoses or overfilled tank
  • Loose/damaged FTP sensor connector
  • Loss of ground to the sensor

My 1998 gmc envoy 130,000 has failed inspection. i had 1 sensor replace, oil filter, air filter, ac spark plug, ignition wire set, and ignition coil all replace. code#p0302 n p0453 seem to be my problem....

remove the spark plug and see if it is wet. See if it smells like gas. Put the plug in the plug wire and crank the car to see if it sparks. If so, get a compression gauge and screw it into the plug hole and crank the engine. Good compression 100lbs or better. If good suspect injector.

2003 gmc envoy!!! Need help asap! For the last

Ask a garage to reset your computer, could be a recurring trip fault causing the car to shut down.

Clearing it might solve the problem - if not, the fault codes will tell you what the problem is!
