Idles rough with engine

The automatic choke could be faulty and stay on or could be blocked filter

Check idle setting - if too low you will get a rough idle.

Check engine light on? Need codes. Could be a sensor failing when at temp, head gasket, intake, etc

Should be on or near the fuel injector supply rail.

Check for a vacuum leak or torn air intake duct that's letting in unmetered air. Also check the accuracy of the engine coolant temp sensor. Finally, find out why it's overheating at idle--that's really serious. Most common cause is a failed radiator fan relay.

it sounds like you have a injector leaking down into one of your cylinders so it is flooding out a cylinder thus runs rough and long cranks.

you need a new choke
