Where is my fuel pmp relay at

Hi Leeanne
If it is an injected model, here is the AllData instructions;

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY (that is what it's called).

On Camry, Celica Corolla RWD and Van models, remove glove box. On Pickup and 4Runner models, remove right kick panel, glove box and speaker. On MR2 models, remove rear luggage compartment trim. On Cressida and 1985---Early 1986 Supra models, remove left kick panel. On Corolla FWD models, remove ECU cover from behind center console. On late 1986---1988 Supra models, remove right side kick panel.
Remove circuit opening relay with wiring from bracket.
Insert voltmeter positive probe into rear of connector at Fp terminal.
Meter should read battery voltage during cranking and while engine is running.
Disconnect electrical connector from relay and measure resistance between terminals.
If relay fails to perform satisfactory, relay is defective.

There is also a main relay on the left side. This will control the ECU

You might check this as well:

most of the time it is on the driver side down low inside the kick panel to test the pump you jump the two terminals under the hood by the fuse panel, the B+ one and the FP one with a paperclip

Need location of the fuel pump relay on a 1990 toyota pu, six cylander 4x4

The Feol pump/circuit opening relay is located inside the cab on a relay block either behind the glove bosx or the right kick panel, I'll see if I can locate a location diagram and post it in a follow up. In the meantime locate the diagnostic check connector under the hood,it's located near the right fender on a fuse block, open the cover and put a jumper wire between the terminals FP and B+, turn the key on and let me know if this makes the fuel pump run.

Would a missing fuse prevent the vehicle from starting? its the fuse box on the drivers kick panel.

Yes it could. there are several that would do it. The IGN fuse (ignition), the engine fuse, the fuel pump fuse, the EFI fuse, and the circuit opening relay.

may be the fuel pump short out.
unplug the fuel pump connector to see if the fuse still blow.
if the fuse is not blown when you try to start then the fuel pump is bad

1992 toyota pickup , blowing efi 15 amp fuse in under hood panel

Check the circuit opening relay, located behind glove box or kick panel on right.
Look for signs of corrosion, this fuse only powers the fuel pump and the engine ecu

Fuel pump wont run and keep blowing a fuse in the front fuse box

The power wire to your fuel pump must be shorting out somewhere. Disconnect it and see if your fuse still blows. If not, then follow the wire all the way back to the fuel pump, and look for a bare spot. Good luck!
