86 chevy transver case #348321 like 2 know if its a full time case if not how does the linkage goes

Dk Green/white goes to Pin 86
Black to Pin 85
Gray to Pin 87
Hot wire coming from fuse 48 to Pin 30. My info doesn't show the color of that wire. The wire will get hot in the run and start positions

K1500 , why skip telling this fact. K2500, k3500 ? we can't just guess.

this is a mechanical linkage system so if it goes in all forward gears has park and neutral but no reverse and the fluid level is full then you have a bad transmission even though its new it does happen.you will have to get another new trans to replace it.

don't know if you have access to a scanner or not but what can be looked at is the manual lever position sensor where the linkage goes in theside of the trans numbers should stay steady in every gear if not it's going bad . if no scanner you could take the gamble and try a new sensor there about 60.00 hope this helps.

Check the ground wire for the fuel gauge sending unit, at the tank. They get rusty. Hope this helps.

my 86 blazer did the same thing , check the vacuum lines on top of transfer case look for one that is chaffed or cracked. Another is the shifter linkage adjust, you will need a manual as it is set with a specific drill bit size to put in for alignment. it is easier than it sounds. hope this helps you

yes a plate can be built however the shop rate to build it versus the kit can be debated all day. thje question is always how much it costs and how long you want to wait. neither side is wrong. i have done both. my question is why do you want to use the 350 it doesn't have the over drive like the 700r4 does, plus you lose torque as well. most times yopu can get a rebuilt 700r4 for around 400 bucks and have less headaches

I take it you have the manual t-case shifter on the floor. If so check all your linkages from the shifter to the t-case, if all appears well, simply disconnect the linkage from the t-case and see if it moves if it does your problem is in the shift mechanism in the t-case. if it still wont move even while disconnected clean and lube the linkage. If this still doesn't do the trick. replace your linkage
