It depends on which engine you have fitted.

If it is the V6 3.3 ltr engine the plug gap is .039 inches

If it is the 2.4 liter engine the gap is .044 inches.

You seem to of covered most bases but are all of the things (air/ gas/ spark getting to the engine at the right time in the right amounts. FUEL PRESSURE? FUEL INJECTORS FIRING AT THE RIGHT TIME? SPARKING ? AT THE RIGHT TIME? PROPER AIR INTAKE (EMISSIONS?) You have may have to look into cam & crank sensors.

Engine diagram 05 frontier 2.5need to change spark plugs

From the images I've seen, the plugs appear to be buried in the valve cover like many Hondas and Toyotas. Pull the wires and use a small std spark plug socket and a 6" extension. Buy standard NGKs, gap per specs, use anti-seize and turn the extension BY HAND until the plugs are fully threaded. Use the ratchet to tighten the remaining 1/2 turn or so. Do not overtighten. hope this helps

My 2000 nissan frontier v6 hasthe back spark plug hole stripped out. any way to repair without removing the head?

Hello;
There is a tool made to chast threads on heads. If yours is chaseabble, then get the tool. Use heavy grease to capture the filings. If you cannot do tyhis, then you can put in a thread insert. All depends on if you can get the drill at the spark plug hole perfectly.
Hope this helps;

go to parts store and buy a spark plug wire remover so you don't brake the plug wires unless your going to use them, and be sure to use dialectic grease on the end of the boots.
