I am having the same problem i was driving my van for months and just the other day it died but i put a jump to my battery and it wont hold but when i have it on a charge it wont start can you please help me
Its likely the fuel pump its not the coil . When was the last time you had the fuel filter changed. No matter its not your fault. I personialy owen one of these a 96 4.3 this is a problem with these vehicles 95 through 99 that i know of and i think even later modals. They will last 10 years if your lucky and don't put a lot of milage on them. The pump is in side the fuel tank and the tank has to come down to replace the pump. But they fixed the problem and if you repair it you should not ever have this problem again chevy got away with one it should have been a recall. Sorry its not happy news at christmas but i see 10 of these a day same problem you have same years
You didn't say that you put a new pump in. Did they replace the wireing to the pump thats a nother issue its supposed to be a resistance type of wireing that did n't come on the vehicle but they should have up graded with the pump replacement or it could be the fuel pressure regulator located inside the plum above the intake maniflod with the fuel injectors
