2004 turn signals don't work flashers do - Excursion Ford Cars & Trucks

If the right side works it's not your flasher, Its your left side bulb, either front turn signal or rear tail light bulb.

in ur fuse box u should have either round flasher or square one's,they are silver in color. when they go out nothing will flash.they just plug into ur fusebox.

Sounds like your flasher relay is broken. A lot of people think that because their hazard flashers work that everything is OK, this isn't so. Hazard flashers are on a seperate system, and as such they have their own relay.
You will need to find where your indicator relay is located and replace it with the correct type.

It's probably the turn signal flasher. It is usually located under the dash along with the hazard light flasher. If you don't know what it looks like, then go to a parts store and look at a new one. Once you have located one, then remove it. Try the hazard flashers. If they work, then replace that flasher with a new one. If they don't, then reinstall that flasher and look for another one like it. When you find one, replace it with the new flasher and try the turn signals. since you know where the fuses are, you also know where the flashers are. the flashers are the same part so unplug the one for the emergency flasher and put it into the socket for the turn signals and vice versa. if the signals now work but not the emergency flasher you know to get a new flasher unit at any parts store. the flasher units are cubes about an inch on each side plugged into the fuse panel.

It's time to replace the flasher relay.The signal flasher is located under the dash near the steering column.Also check for the indicator bulb.Replace them if damaged.

you don`t say but do the lights work either on the front/back on both sides.if not then it may be a fuse that needs replacing or need a bulb replacement.if the lights work but don`t flash then it sounds like a signal flasher problem.the flasher is located in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if the hazard flashers work then turn them on to find the hazard flasher by the fuse panel then you will know what the signal flasher looks like and change the signal flasher.make sure you change the one for the signals and not the hazard one.if the hazards work then i would say the signal switch is good as the hazards work through the same switch.

the trans was shifting funny so we unhooked the batt to reset the computer when hooked batt back up now we have no signals or flashers whats wrong

It should be in the hazard button, You have to pull it out and replace it. Try the junk yards they dont cost alot.

try pressing the hazards on and off if they still don,t work replace the flasher unit. it is built into the hazard switch( all one unit ) change this and all will be good.
