Hi, When jump starting this vehicle make sure that the Q7 is connected first, then connect to the jumper vehicle. Connect 1 lead to the positive on the Q7 and the negative to a good solid body part or engine part. This will then ensure that the vehicle will start on the jumper vehicles battery directly without going through the Q7 flat battery causing the electronics to strain.
Hope this helped.
Thanks
Jason

If getting a jump of which do I hook up first positive or negative

When Connecting jump leads ALWAYS Positive first, (Red), Negative last, (Black).
When Removing jump leads ALWAYS Negative first, (Black) and Positive last, (Red).
ALWAYS make sure you DON'T touch the negative to the positive at any time! (Loads of sparks and you risk damaging the battery).
Safest way I have found is this.
With the engine on BOTH vehicles turned OFF. Connect up to the flat battery first, then connect to the good battery. ONLY start the vehicle with the good battery. Wait 2 or 3 minutes to let some charge cross to the dead battery then start the vehicle with the dead battery.
The dead battery will need to be fully charged as soon as possible.

I have Audi 500 sel v6 I want to know the location of Posetive and Negetive of the Battry if I want to jumpstart it.

There may come a time when you try to start your vehicle...and nothing happens. In those situations, a dead or discharged battery is often the culprit.
There are a couple of ways to check: If the starter clicks or makes no sound, and the headlights are dim or don't turn on at all, chances are it's the battery.
Thankfully, jump-starting a vehicle is easy. All it takes is a set of jumper cables and another running vehicle, and you'll be on your way.
Before you start
There are a few things you should do before starting step 1:
  • Read the safety, jump-starting, and roadside emergency information in your owner's manual
  • Have your roadside assistance number handy
  • Locate a pair of color-coded jumper cables and a wire brush for removing battery terminal corrosion
  • Find each vehicle's battery: They can be under the hood or in the trunk
  • Remove any metal jewelry like rings or bracelets to avoid accidental shocks while working near the battery
  • Don't disconnect the disabled battery-it could damage the vehicle's electrical system
    1. Move the boosting vehicle close to, but not touching, the vehicle with the dead battery so the jumper cables can connect without being taut. Put both vehicles in Park or Neutral, turn off their ignitions, and set their parking brakes. Turn off or unplug all power-draining items: lights, electronic accessories, and portable devices plugged into auxiliary outlets.
    2. Open the hood or trunk and remove any battery terminal covers. If you see chalky corrosion on the terminals, remove it with a wire brush terminal cleaner.
    3. Clamp the red positive (+) cable onto the disabled vehicle's red positive (+) battery terminal.
    4. Next, connect the other end of the red positive (+) cable to the booster vehicle's red positive (+) battery terminal.
    5. Now connect the black negative (-) clamp to the booster vehicle's black negative (-) battery terminal.
    6. Connect the other end of the black negative (-) cable to a large, unpainted metal surface in the disabled vehicle's engine bay, away from the battery and the engine itself. Make sure the cables are clear of any moving parts.
    7. After a final check, start the booster vehicle. Then try to start the disabled vehicle: Usually it will start right up, but it may need to charge for a few minutes before starting. Once it starts, allow both vehicles to run connected for about three minutes.
    8. Without turning off the jump-started vehicle's engine, disconnect the cables in the reverse order that they were attached, and close the hoods/trunks.
    9. Allow the jump-started vehicle's engine to run for several minutes. Depending on how discharged it is, the battery may not be able to start again under its own power, so keep it running until you reach your destination.
    10. Visit your local Ford Dealership as soon as possible to get the jump-started battery tested or replaced.

Had to jump car cuz battery was and dead and tmsp is all lines how do i reset it

to jump start a car the following procedure applies
place the positive lead from the jump battery onto the positive terminal of the car battery (clip on)
place the negative lead of the jump battery onto the engine ( clip on) not the car battery terminal
this prevents power surges through the ECM
remove the jump battery is the reverse procedure
to reset an ECM use a scan tool
there are jumper leads now on the market which have surge protection in a lead so in that case positive to positive and negative to negative

    How do I jump start a 2006 audi a6 4.2 quatro s line

place the red lead (positive terminal) from the jumper battery to the positive terminal of the audi battery. connect the negative lead from the jumper battery to the engine of the audi ( select a metal part that the clamp will fit on) Connecting to the negative terminal of the audi battery runs the risk of a power surge that may damage the ECM of the audi. If jumping from another vehicle run the jumper engine at around 2000rpms before trying to start the audi

How to jump start my 2005 Pontiac Montana?

    Using jumper cables :
    1. Connect one red clamp to the positive terminal (+) of running car's battery and the other end red clamp to the positive terminal (+) of the dead car's battery .
    2. Connect one black clamp to the negative terminal (-) of running car's battery and the other end black clamp to the negative terminal (-) of the dead car's battery.
    Basically... (+) to (+)...and... (-) to (-)
    3. Crank up the car needing the jump.
    4. Once car is jumped and running...remove clamps in reverse order.

Using battery pack: Connect in the same fashion as above.

I need to jumpstart and cant find the battery...

The battery should be on the right hand side of the car, in the engine compartment, remember when you jump start it to hook up the jumper cables like this; negative jumper cable to negative battery terminal on your car, then positive jumper cable to positive terminal on your car, then, put the other positive jumper cable to the car that's jumper car and last connect the other negative jumper cable to the jumer cars engine block, and that should help you.

Can i jump start an audi a6 2005

On the 2005 Audi A6 3.2 (6 cylinder) the battery is stored in the right rear trunk, under the trunk floor lid. Note: To jump start the car, you simply raise the engine hood, and look in the upper left corner of the engine compartment, just slightly below the plastic cover. There you will see connections that lead to the battery and are specifically designed for jumping (or charging) the battery. You will need to lift up gently on a reddish brown cover which is protecting the positive terminal. The negative terminal (black) is not covered.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to jump the battery directly. The battery could explode and you could get sulfuric acid on your face and in your eyes, which would be bad. Very bad.

How can i start the audi becuse the battery is dad

You could try to 'jump-start' with a booster cable.
Connect one end of the negative cable of the booster-battery to its negative terminal, and connect the other negative end of the booster-battery to the engine block (ground).
If booster battery is not maintenance free, you must take off their top caps.
Connect each ends of the positive booster-cable to the positive ends of each battery.
Start the car with good battery first, then start the Audi.
If the Audi fails to start after about 20-minutes, it means that its battery needs to be removed and charged with battery-charger, or a new one put in its place.

If the Audi has a standard transmission, you could have helpers push it, and apply the 2nd gear once it starts rolling.
    The engine should fire up.
If it fails to fire up, have the dead battery replaced or re-charged.
