We have a 2006 Chrysler 300 V6 and today when I tried to shift from park to drive it would not move it was stuck. What to do?

posible fuse brake switch or interlock selenoid

It can be issue with gears or problem with transmission and needs to be rebuilt. Also get the ****** fluid checked. If it's low, then such problems occurs.

The shifter needs to be inspected. If The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

There are many other possibilities.

check your fuses or bypass your brake switch to activate your shift lock solenoid,if that dont fixes the problem you need to replaced the shifter assy.

Go to the Prindle switch where the cable meets the transmission and check if it has not unhooked. Move the shifter all the way to the Park position and adjust/tighten.

i parked my car got back in it wont go out ot park i tried the pink button it is so soft where do you push in on it. i cant move my car help

normally have to press brake pedal to go from park to drive
so i would look at the brake light switch first your problem might be there goodluck

Try pushing on break pedal before putting it into gear...if this does not work the break saftey switch telling the transmission you have depressed the pedal is faulty or the fuse to it is blown. :)

I have the same problem today, I took the shift cover off and pulled that piece back with a screwdriver and it let me put it in drive. It appears to be where the brake cable releases the shifter release. Seems like an easy piece to change but I can't figure out how to get to it without taking the whole console out.
