This engine should not have a timing belt, the m 40 engine had, this should have a chain which is for lifetime in the car. no replacement necessary

What is the torque spec on 98 isuzu npr front wheels

Julie
what year NPR 1998
what weight class.?
if not sure post a photo of the beast. !
sorry not all NPRs are the same, not EVEN close.
so not listen to the net rumors, why trust your life to rumors>?

read this, (where are you?)

The fifth generation Isuzu Elf appeared in July 1993, with more sculpted headlights.
In May 1995 it received a minor change, including upgraded, cleaner diesel engines.
An OEM deal with Nissan led to the Elf also being sold badged as a Nissan Atlas and a Nissan Diesel Condor 20/30/35 beginning at this time, followed by the Nissan Atlas Max from 1996 until 2000. The Atlas Max was based on the new, lighter duty Elf 100 (June 1995) which was available with a 2-liter petrol or a 2.5 or 2.7-liter diesel engine.[20]
In May 2004, subsequent to a few minor changes, the Elf underwent a more major facelifts with new, larger, trapezoidal headlamps.
Another OEM deal was forged at this time and the Elf was now also marketed as a Mazda Titan in parallel.
In Malaysia, this truck is manufactured by Heavy Industries Corporation of Malaysia (Isuzu HICOM Malaysia) under the name of HICOM Perkasa, but carrying the Isuzu N-Series Commando badge.
? 100ft/lbs is a good guess, but is but a guess.

I would like to know the interval change of my timing belt on my Jeep Patriot Sport 2.0 2008

I must presume you have verified that you do indeed have a timing belt and not a timing chain. (I'm reasonably certain you have a belt, I think the 2.4L engine uses a chain.) Your owner's manual should specify the replacement interval, typically 60,000 or more commonly 80,000 miles. If you're coming up on the 80,000 mile mark, change it. If you bought it used and it's over 80,000 and you don't know if it's been changed, then change it. If that's an interference motor, it will destroy itself if the belt breaks. When having the timing belt changed (or doing it yourself), it's a good time to change the water pump (even it it's fine....simply because you have access while changing the belt), all hoses and other belts. It just makes sense to do these other things while you are doing (or having done) the considerable disassembly / interference removal required for the timing belt work. Shop around and get the required parts, take everything to a mechanic you trust or take a couple days off work and do it. I don't know you or your level of expertise, so my apologies if I'm preaching to the choir.

Does my Suzuki GLX 1.5 have a cambelt or chain

the swift?
what country you in UK,Malaysia?
what year.
the car came with a operators guide and in that guide
is a service schedule, and if there is a belt shown, its replaced near or at 100kmeter (60k miles)

i just google this car, and the engine is a (1 of 3 offered)
1.5 litre M15A VVT DOHC
the M15a can be goggled.
goggle shows, not one hit for a belt and many for chain.
you can look at the engine with eyes.
if the front cover on the engine is loose, it's belt.
finger pressing side of cover, you see it flex inward? belt.
if sealed 100%, its chain (oil sealed) no flex.
the wiki , for Suzuki engines page fails to cover this.
Suzuki has 54 engines. see them here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Suzuki_engines
hope that help,

Timing belt and pulley

1.Your engine has an internal timing chain, not a belt.
Therefore I'm going to assume that you mean the serpentine drive belt.
Common causes for belt to fail is either a mis-aligned or damaged pulley, improper belt tension, or bad tensioner spring (if equipped with spring loaded tensioner) You mentioned a loose pulley but didn't say which one! That's what I'd look at first! Also, make sure that all pulleys have no "wobble" indicating a bad pulley bearing Most common: water pump or idler pulley.

Interior parts

Look on Ebay. I bought all kinds of used parts for my Mercedes, (3) 300 TDS and a 300SD. Parts are plentiful for these models and very affordable on Ebay, or perhaps even Craigs List. There is a Mercedes Benz internet forum where members post their sales and needs. I don't know what the import laws are in Malaysia, but I cannot imagine the imposts are high on used auto parts.
