Have you found an answer for this yet? I have the same problem. When I open the door the alarm doesn't make noise but the light flash and it makes a ticking noise like the hazard lights are on. I love this car but I can't figure this out! It still turns on and after 4 min the lights stop flashing but if I open the door it starts flashing again. Let me know if you got a answer to this. Thank you

When i open the dr of my 2006 chevy cobalt the alarm goes off i have never used the clicker or has it ever done this before

On some models you set the theft system when you lock the doors and when you manually use the key to open the door the alarms will go off. To solve this use the key fob and see if you still have the problem. I don't think you will see the problem when you use the key fob to open the doors.

underneath the driver side dash you will find that main alarm unit, usually you can disconnect the wires from this and you will have no problems until you can get a replacement FOB for it.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord with a factory installed alarm. When I press the button on the clicker it won't disable it. The light on the clicker lights up and the battery is fine. I've tried manually...

When my alarm goes off, it usually happens when someone sticks their hand in the window to unlock the door. In order to turn off the alarm I close whichever door the person opened back, and unlock the door from the driver's side door. This usually turns the alarm off.

My security system continues to sound when you open up the locked door.

Hi,
I have a 1992 Acura Legend. If the alarm goes off when you open the door when the alarm is set you may have to close the door and put the key in the door lock and turn it clockwise to turn the alarm off.
