No its not full with diesel fuel this is a common shut off on the isuzu. Plus the valve are always noisy . The crank sensor on those go out easy. This may not be the problem.Go to the back have someone crank it ,or if your hearing is great as you crank it do you hear a hummin noise that will be the fuel pump if you dont then the fuel pump will most likely be your problem. If you hear a humming noise as you turn the key on the fuel pump will not be the problem. Now let check spark. do you have a tach on it (the RPM) if you do crank it if it bounces just a tinytiny bit you have spark and the fuel pump will be the problem. Most common Isuzu trooper failure the ignition module
Have your map sensor checked. Black smoke is unburned fuel or carbon. Is your check engine light on? If so go to Autozone or Checker O'Rellys And have them get you a free reading.
Auto. Transmition when giving trouble will not change up until R.P.M. has gone over 2500 rpm. Should should change up between 2000 and 2500. When changing it down (pushing accelerator to the floor) it should do this imedietly. Isuzu Troopers have a power button on the console between the front seat's this is for trailer pulling and when it is on.(power light on in Dashboard) then it takes more R.P.M. to change up allowing for trailer weight.
I can hook you up!! lol Go to the autozone website at autozone.com and register your vehicle. It's free and you will have access to an online repair manual for your vehicle. The step by step instructions for removing the starter on your vehicle is there. ( I checked). Hope this helped and best wishes.
There is a sensor in your car telling your computer to light up your check engine light. When your car drives okay it is usally associated with a faulty switch or sensor. Probably oxygen sensor
a temperature sender located at the thermostat housing was found to be faulty sending permanent earth to tranmission making the overdrive gear inoperable . when replaced the vehicle achieves 100kph from 2500 rpm as true.
