Most modern cars have have a knob you turn on the back of the headlight under the hood. The small bulb is replaced and not the whole lens in front. You unscrew then knob with all the wires going into the back of the headlight, usually about a quarter turn and then just pull it back.

Remove headlight 07 pontiac G6?

If your talking about a dome light bulb. You don't have to remove the headliner. Look at the lens where the bulb goes. You will see a small slot on one of the side of it. Insert a screw driver and pry down on it and it will pop off. Same with side lights in the headliner.

Both headlights on left side of 2007 pontiac G6 GT are out

It seems that many Pontiac G6 owners are experiencing this same problem. At first, it appears that a low-beam headlight has blown out, but upon careful inspection, you can determine that the integrity of one of the connectors to the bulb has been compromised and is is not conducting voltage across the connection, whereas the bulb is still good. When you look at the connector in question, you will see what looks like corrosion or burning around the inside of the connector pin (female end) and the pin on the headlight (male end). This is the result of a design flaw, as many, many G6 owners are having this same problem. This should have resulted in a manufacturer\'s recall, but so far, it has not. So, the least expensive repair is to replace just the connector that plugs into the back of the bulb. You can purchase a connector "pigtail" from a dealer for about $26.00 (It consists of the connector block with the pins and a short length of wire connected to each one. When you make the repair, you must cut the wires going the defective connector, and splice the wires from the new connector to the wires in the wiring harness. The best way to do this is to use insulated but splices with a crimp connector. You can find these in any hardware store, auto supply store, or even Radio Shack. Caution: Be sure to match the polarity of the connection (note the color of the wire going to each pin in the connector), and use the correct size of crimp connector matched to the gauge of the wire. Also, if you are reinstalling a good bulb that has a slightly burned or corroded pin, first clean both sides of the pin with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab, or rub the pin with some very fine steel wool. How do i change head lights on a pontiac g6

Which ever side you are looking to change, you will find an 8 to 10mm bolt. Once you remove that bolt located near the headlight housing, you lift up on the bar that you just took the bolt off of, then once you have the bar up, gently pull out the headlight housing starting from the inside pulling straight out, thats it. Remove the bulb, and replace in reverse order.

How do you remove the headlight assembly on a 05 Pontiac G6 GT to replace headlight bulb? When unlocking car, the bulb works, but when starting or putting car in drive light goes off. Is the bulb the...

real interesting... there should be no relation to the "drive" and the head light. current drawn by the starter causes the lights to go out or dim. Check the headlamp relay and for corrosion on connector to lamp assemblies in the engine compartment. On back of assemblies there is a large diameter plastic retainer after you remove the wire clip. Turn counter clockwise and pull back. a wire clip should retain the bulb itself
