disconnect the battery...wait 30 mins and the pcm should reset.

the demobilized feature is activated, lock and unlock your keyless entry remote to deactivate the demobilized feature, then try cranking your truck again.

be looking for any electronic name on a control box somewhere or a tag with a dealer name having to do with car stereos or whatever..do you have any info on the past owner(s) where there was any aftermarket stuff done??.. see if the stereo has any info in or on it somewhere..

Try to find on the fuse box the fuse of the alarm. Take one after one the fuses out and find witch one in for the alarm. After that the alarm won't work if the fuse is not there.

lock the drivers' side door with the key then unlock..should get you going!

I have montero sport 2000 also. If you call your local mitsubishi dealer and give them your vin number on your rig they will be able to give you codes to punch into probbably your stereo that will reset a factory alarm. good luck...

Have you tried a new battery in the remote, or do you have a second remote you can test. Either your remote is worn out or the battery is dead.
Once you lock the car with your remote it will active the alarm and if you use your key it won't deactive the alarm only your remote will, on some cars putting the key in the ignition will deactive it.
If you can deactive your alarm with your remote and can just manualy lock and unlock your doors and that should prevent your alarm from going off until you get a new remote or battery.

1) Disconnect Negative Battery Terminal

2) Turn Ignition Key On

3) Connect Negative Battery Terminal

4) Alarm will be deactivated. You should get a fob for this vehicle to prevent any accidental alarms going off in the future.

CAUTION: This procedure will create a spark when reconnecting the battery. A recently charged or discharged battery can be surrounded by a cloud of explosive hydrogen gas. Wear safety glasses and turn face away from battery while making connection. Do not perform this procedure with a battery that has recently been on a charger!

If it is the factory alarm it will deactivate when you put the key in and turn it to start the car,if it is a aftermarket add on it will have to be removed from the car.
